Art Deco Lamp

By razncain, 24 March, 2011
Description

The lamp is about 3 1/2 feet tall and about 38" around.  The base appears wooden perhaps and the lamp itself appears to be ceramic.  It's quite heavy and it has green and blue hues in the paint.  The shade matches, although we're not certain that it's the original.  The base is a bronze color and has no markings and the bottom is covered with an attached cloth.  It reminds us of a pineapple.

The texture is absolutely wonderful and the lamp was so disgustingly gaudy when we saw it, that we just had to buy it.  At present, it's in sitting on a chair waiting for a place to end up permanentaly.  It matches absolutely nothing in our home but we love it!

It works perfectly, the cord is white and it the spines of the shade are in great condition.  We've seen no nicks or chips in the paint or surface of the lamp and we'd just like to know a little more about it if possible!
