Re: Asian Picture with Sinature of TNaka
you might try to contact the Ryukyu Cultural archives...they do have a link if you google it. Although the mountains look more like Northern Japan. Landscapes were very popular with tourists, so if they were not well known, you mihgt have problems identifying the aritst.
Re: Asian Picture with Sinature of TNaka
I was able to find this artist in multiple auction records. Similar to your average yardsale oil painting done by an uknown American, this is a low value work by an unknown artist whose name appears on several similar works. The ones I saw included Mt. Fuji, so I would assume the author was Japanese and his paintings were of the surrounding landscapes. They were bringing average prices for nice looking, but un collectible art ($40-75) per work.
Re: Asian Picture with Sinature of TNaka

I appreciate it the value is ok I think that it has more sentimental value to me but I appreciate your time trule
Re: Asian Picture with Sinature of TNaka
You're very welcome, the painting is certaintly beautiful and deserves a spot on the wall, and the sentimental value in objects like this is always what really brings them to life. Thanks for sharing.
