Teapot: A white glazed ceramic type material with a black top on the white lid and black brush painted kanji on two sides. a traditional short spout. Lid also has a small hole in it I assume for letting out steam. Glazed interior.
Teacup: Same white glazed material as the pot. Black rim and black bottom. Kanji on two sides. Glazed interior.

Distinguishing marks
on the bottom is a amkers mark, a diamond shaped box. Inside the box is for lines dividing it into 4 sections. The left section contains a "D", the top section contains an "I". The Right section contains a "C" and the bottom section contains "Japan". The whole mark is about as big as a pennie

Teapot is about 4 1/2" tall and has an 18" circumfrence. Each cup is 2" tall with an almost 11" circumfrence
