Description
The artist, Gil Veda is still alive and I managed to get a hold of him. I sent him photos of the painting and told me that it was his and sent a certificate of authenticity. He told me that he painted this for Hank Williams Jr after Hank Sr passed away. He told me that Jr gave these to friends of his father after his passing. Gil Veda has painted 4 presidents and one of his portraits of nixon is in the Nixon Presidential Library.
The artist appraised it but I would like a couple other appraisals before I take his value seriously, (it is in writing and very high).
