Bathroom Robe and towel/ bar soap holder

This is a holder that I purchased in an antique store a few months ago.  I have done some research and cannot anything similar.  I am not what it is worth, I cannot see any stamps of any sort on it but also refuse to polish it.  Can you please let me know if you have ever seen anything like it and maybe give me some input on where I can find information on it.  Anything would help at the moment as I am dumb founded.!!!

The upper part of the rack where the ball is comes apart so you can hang your robe. 

Any idea what it is worth?
