Bayonet War of 1812

Description

This bayonet has a 17" triangular blade with markings; crown over 40 and K&A. On the bent part; 288. The part that goes over the barrel is 4" long and the notch has not been widened. My brother did some research and thinks it was made between 1778 and 1806.
