This isn&#39;t a painting and without seeing it up close, it&#39;s hard to say if it&#39;s a print or pencil drawing etc. What is the number on it? It could be the year or the number contained--if a print--in the number of prints put out.  Can you upload a pic with a very tight and clear shot of the number area? You should also ask Christies about it as some other poster said and they have a website where you can send in your query along with a photo(s) and get a response back within a few days. Don&#39;t tell them you don&#39;t want to sell it or they won&#39;t bother responding. As long as you haven&#39;t signed a contract to put this up for auction with them, there&#39;s nothing to be concerned about. Make sure you send them a close-up shot of the numbered area too.
