Hello! I'm submitting this for a friend. It is a beautiful desk that was handed down from her parents. She doesn't know much about it, except that her dad said it was very old. The pictures I have are going to be the only real clues as to it's origin, as I'm unable to locate any writing on the piece except for the number G4472 stamped onto the right rear upright. it also has metal glides for the bottom of the drawers to slide on. There is a name stamped on the metal glides that starts with "Ap..." The back is solid wood and held on with screws.

It's probably not as old as it first appears, most of these were made during the 1920's through 40's We'd need to see some images of the drawers bottoms and sides to determine when it was made.
