HI,I have this pretty washstand I need some help describing & value for re-sale please
Is it Eastlake?
Irish or English?
The marble top can come off, is it supposed ot be attatched?
I think it is Oak or Tiger OAk?

Most of these are mid to late Victorian English examples, they were imported in great numbers to North America during the 1980's when demand for American washstand went crazy. This one is a mix of hardwoods, but looks primarily to be walnut. Demand has weakened a great deal for Victorian furniture since then, these often now go at auction for under $200.00.
