Bench

Description Purchased bench from 90 y.o. woman who stated she grew up with the bench in her home. Her parents brought the bench from Pennsylvania to Minnesota before 1900. I am especially interested in the fact that the bench is assembled with wood pegs only, no nails were used.

This is a country Sheraton style " Arrowback" settle bench, if original it was made circa 1820-50. Generally they were painted when made, with their original finish they sell for a good deal more than one that doesn't. At auction they sell in the $400.00- $600.00 range.
