Description

Bisque porcelain colonial figurines clearly marked Made In Germany.  Female figurine is in mint condition - no chips; cracks; or other imperfections.  Male figurine I realized recently that the top of his violin is missing - that is how difficult it is to notice, I have had these pieces since November 2010 and just now noticed that apparently the top of the violin had broken off.  Both pieces are just beautiful - nicely done and perfect subtle tones to the painting - very nice detail work.

There is a hand-written date inside the base of each figurine - 1843.  Do not know if that is an accurate date.  These figurines belonged to my mother and it is NOT her handwriting so date confirmation is unknown.  The figurines are exactly the same size though they don't look like it in these photos - they are a set.

I'D LIKE TO KNOW THE VALUE OF THESE ITEMS.
