Description

My great uncle, Ewald Judge, brought this back after his service in the World War. He fought in the Battle of Verdun, picked up this brass shell casing and had it made into a vase. Vase stands at 13-1/2" tall. "VERDUN" is etched on the shell. The bottom is stamped as follows: 75 DEC and also D.458L.18.D. I'm not at all familiar as to the meaning of this. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thank You!
