It's in the Empire Revival Style, which was popular during the turn of the 19th Century. The style copied original American Empire pieces made from 1815-40, with the exception it tended to be made of lighter color hardwoods rather than the mahogany of the originals. It's worth about what you paid for it. Lovejoy
