Description

I bought this bowl recently at a thrift shop.  The crack on the bottom can be seen through to the top but doesn't severely affect the overall look.  However there is also the chip on the rim on the top.  It is a beautiful bowl with the lustre on it.  I have looked and looked online but have not been able to find anything like it so have no idea of it's value.  It was definitely worth the $5 to me though!  I don't know if it has a "pattern" name.

Your piece dates from the 1920's, the company that made it is better known as "Royal Winton" , Grimwades began going under that name about 1929 if I remember correctly . Byzanta was in a way a low cost knock off of Wedgwoods Fairyland Luster. You got a good deal for $5.00. Here a like to Byzanta sold at auction for you.
