Cane side chair Louis XV (?) style

Description

This chair belonged to my father.  It doesn't seem to have any markings on it to identify the maker.  I believe it was recaned at some point.  You can see underneath the seat that something in the corners was removed.  It has design painted on the arms and edges.  It's not very heavy.  I was told that it's probably mid 19th century  and probably not from France.  It's in good condition but appears to me to be sort of fragile, so I don't really use.  I'd like to sell it, but I have no idea what it might be worth.   Thanks for any info or advice.
