Description

Hoping to learn more information (age, value, rarity) about two Carl Ivar Gilbert (mini) framed pieces called  "Down in the Valley" and "Springtime on the Farm"  that look like watercolor, each print is in a handmade pale blue frame, beautifully matted, under glass, vivid colors, signed C.Ivar Gilbert, and each measure approx 6" x 7" inches. Thinking 1940ish. Frames are no worse for wear but aged and gently used. The prints are vivid and look amazing although ... I have not removed or inspected them outside of the frames.  THANK YOU!

Re: Carl Ivar Gilbert Framed Set

Hello!

I believe you are spot on with the date (1940-49), as for value I would estimate them between $200-$500 a piece. (hard to give a better appraisal without looking at the art up close and personal)

One of the watarcolors you have is on sale on ebay for $175
