Description
While watching Antique Road Show, a clear glass bowl like this one was presented for appraisal and the appraiser quoted about $3500 and stated that the colored ones were valued for even more. We are looking for an appraisal and possibly a buyer. This is a beautiful piece of history.
Re: Carnival Glass Bowl
This is a very useful website on carnival glass identification. Since most pieces weren't marked, it is very difficult to determine origin, which makes a big difference in pricing.

We have a few pieces of Bavarian glass, which I prefer. I do have a serving tray by Nova Studio (the crystal division of Makasa), altho clear with the frosted raised pattern, your rose pattern is remarkably similar to my piece. The closest I have seen yet. I am certain of the origins of my piece (Macy's sells Nova Studio and Makasa).
A recent book I recently read, stated that the most valuable unmarked carnival glass pieces are those with unusual shapes and coloring. Â
Re: Carnival Glass Bowl
There are very few pieces of carnival glass sell for $3500.00 these days as values are in decline for Carnival glass. Yours looks like a Lustre Rose ferneries bowl by Imperial , but it's very hard to tell from an image. Most of them sell for less than $100.00, see link for all things Carnival below

Re: Carnival Glass Bowl
Thank you so much. I've had this listed since May 11 and no one had commented until now. It was my Grandmothers and I love it but my daughter thinks I should get rid of everything because she doesn't want to have to deal with it once I'm gone. Which I don't plan to do for a number of years yet.
I think I will just keep it if it's only worth so little, but I will check out the links sent because I'm interested in antiques.
Thank you again.
