Description
I was given this vase by my mother, who in turn received it as a wedding gift from her German mother in the 1960's.
I believe it is a Carsten Tomieshoff vase, having searched the imprint stamp on the bottom of the vase which reads "Austria 698-23"
It is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. it has a few minute chips in the glaze, that aren't noticeable unless you are looking for them.
The inside is glazed brown.
The outer glaze is blue with horizontal bands of unglazed black.
