This small brown/grey oil lamp measures 11 x 8 mm and 3 mm high fitting in the palm of your hand. I received it as a gift from my former neighbor Gina Bianca when we lived in Port Richey, Florida. She told me she got it in Italy and it was found when they were digging up some land to build on their property. She migrated from Italy as a young woman. It was cracked and glued when I received it. It reminds me of something from New Testament Bible times from the story of the 10 virgins told to keep their lamps burning bright and filled with oil. There is no wick in it. My question is: Is this an antique or a replica?

Re: Ceramic Oil Lamp
Not salty, sweet, or bitter but metallice mostly. It took about 1 minute for it to evaporate. Thank you! Phyllis
