I do not know much about vases, or collectibles, in any capacity. However, I was given a vase that I believe may have been hand painted based on the releif of the paint. I am curious if the vase may have unique history or value.

It's Chinese, but patterned after Japanese Satsuma moriage Pottery. Most pieces like this post date World War Two, but similar examples are still in production.
