History
Came from estate sale near Savannah, GA. Artist was from Climax, GA. Could not find name on Google, but he was actor, model, designer, as well as artist.
I knew him. (The artist) He passed away several years ago and was a close friend of my family. He was incredibly talented. I googled his name and this came up. Hang on to that painting. :)
Hello
I have been thinking about Conrad Bell, the last couple of days!?
We met in 1977. Conrad was a "golden boy" He was one of those people that great things just seemed to happen to.ie; Offers to stay at friends penthouse, rent free, in Sutton Place ( a very toney area in nyc ) while friends were away for six months. No sex involved!!
Or falling into modeling, He modeled for Perry Ellis,Calvin and Ralph. Another friend designer Dominick Avalino. owned a boutique named DD Dominick's, down the street from Bloomingdale's, offered to sell some of the jewelry Confrad designed.
He was a very peripatetic person, I was just thinking of how he inspired me to believe that things work out,if yu don't worry about them, and having the ability to be charming, helps too.
Conrad was 6'1" blond hair, shaggy 70's haircut, athletic body, He was hot!!
Yu might be able to see him on video at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the school usually keeps videos
of top Designer runway show.
Peace
I was a 4-H Camp Counselor with Conrad at RockEagle 4-H Center for two summers in the mid-sixties. He was such a great person, mentor, and friend. I did keep up with him and his successes in NYC. What a special person!
