Description
Hi, I inherited some antique dishes from a long lost great aunt. I have been unable to find anything on this mark over the internet. I have several of these bowls and all of them are blue/white with this mark on the back. There are no chips but some have little brown dots on them.

This was made by Edward Walley of Villa Pottery in Cobridge, Staffordshire. 1845-1856. Formerly Jones & Walley. LOVE IT !!!!

Thank you for responding! I have been looking everywhere for this mark!!! I have quite a bit of all different dishes that are all blue and white but with many different markings. One says Alfred Meakin? Another says Johnston Bros., I am researching more on them since I would like to know more about our family history. Are these common names amongst china like this?

Walley isnt common but Meakin and Johnson Brothers are. I have been collecting blue/white English china for 25 years, love it. I will see what I can help you with, post away.
