I believe this is an 18th century elwmood? daybed, circa1780 A.D. from Shanxi, Chinaa

!ood and rattan Chinese day bed (shandong or opium bed) that is often used as a coffeed table

The woven matting is on a wooden platform. The base is substantial and carved. Pleasse see the details in the photos attached.
