Description

Last year I inherited this vase, along with several others, after my father passed away.

My dad was a lighting designer and sometime in the early 80's he had what I like to call his "vase phase". At the time, his employer was mass-producing a line of table lamps - made from Chinese-style vases - and my father became somewhat obsessed with finding special vases for certain projects or clients.

Some of these projects never took wing and instead were confined to the basement - including this particular vase, which was apparently drilled to accommodate lighting fixtures but never made it to full lamphood.

I'd really like to know if this vase could be of any value, before deciding to sell it for a few bucks at my next garage sale. I've been particularly curious about it ever since I found that a very similar vase was auctioned online for quite a bit more

Dont sell it of at a garagesale. The quality the painting point toward the 19th century.

In perfect state it might be worth around 500 to 700 dollar.

Because of the hole it might be worth less. But this type of colorscheme is really popular so it might fetch a good price.
