Re: Chinese or Japanese Bowl With Lid
hi rebeka.
Its massproduced, but that isnt a bad thing. The Chinese have been mass producing porcelain from around the 17th century. (those objects could pay your mortgage)
this object has been in the 20th century but has been stamped with the mark of the Qianlong emperor of the 17th century.
Take good care of it, its already worth at least a 100 dollar but in a few years might be worth ten times that. ( you can clean the charger with a damp cloth with a mild dishdetergent.)
any questions, feel free to ask
Re: Chinese or Japanese Bowl With Lid
the figure inside isnt a peacock, its a phoenix battling a dragon.
The doglike figures on top of the bowl are foo dogs ( the same thing you can spot at the entrace to chinese restaurants and temples back in China)
