Christoph (Christopher) Columbus Pewter Ewer

Description

A tall pewter ewer featuring Christoph Columbus on one side and the Santa Maria on the other.  There is a lid and a large graceful handle, and a "collared" neck.  The spout is in the form of a goose.  The goose has a  a moderate indent (damage) on one side but otherwise no damage or repairs.  There are prominent hallmarks with initials displayed on the top of the base.  17 X 10 X 2 and very heavy.  Found in a Maryland shop.  I would love to know the story behind this piece.
