Chrome/Formica Dinette

By ptherchief, 21 May, 2011
Description

Complete set, table w/one leaf and 4 chairs. Set is gray cracked ice table top with "apple" inlay on each side. Chairs are red vinyl with gray accent. Chromed handles on chairs. Table is marked (see photo), with manufacturer data, color, style, etc. Chrome is immaculate on all pieces. Formica is like new. Chairs are original chrome, seats and backs may be recovered, but expertly done. The nails on the chairs look original. Table has sliding wire type of lock, and is operational. There is a minute chip in one corner of the leaf, doesn't detract and I didn't notice it, another pointed it out. The chip is 1/8 inch long by 1/16th inch wide. Table has expert repair on mounting point where it had broken, excellent repair and not visible from above(photo). The whole set is pristine, the best I have ever seen after looking at probably 30 sets within the last month.  I would call it mint except it has the table leg repair and small chip. It certainly is in superior condition and genuine, not a retro remake.
