Woman in blue with pink parasol with flower basket and child in pink waving I believe, by a lake in a flower field with boats in the lake and a 3 towered building across the lake.
I know nothing of this painting besides how beautiful it is. If anyone can help me with any info on artist or info about this painting please help. It's very hard to find out info on his/her paintings.
I have a larger, similar painting by C. Hunter that features the same woman in blue with another woman in pink. I bought it for 2 dollars at a thrift shop and love it inside my Victorian home. It is 2'x3'.
Paintings like this are generally Decorator pieces sold through travelling art shows that set up in hotel conference rooms. They were painted in multiples of the same scene or variations of it. The artist's name is often just made up. I have seen a number of comparable paintings with the same signature at thrift stores that sell for less than $50.00.
I own one I bought brand new in 1985 from an art wholesaler for $50.00 ( unframed), they had dozens of them with this signature on them and others, all of the the same scene.
