Circa 1950 Vinyl Sofa and Chair Set

By lindsayalexandra, 1 September, 2014
Description

Hi there,

These were passed down to me after my great grandmother passed away. Due to lack of space in our apartment we have to sell them. I'm at a loss as to how much to ask for the set. They are circa 1950 and made of green vinyl. The tags state they're from the Claremont Collection from Scales Furnature Co. I was told they are stuffed with horse hair but I don't know if that's accurate. The "materials" have faded from the tags. There is some aging/ wear and tear... The feet are scuffed up, a few punctures in the vinyl and some spots of discoleration on the arms of the matching chair. Some of the threads on the buttoned back are missing but it still has it's shape.

Hoping you can help me appraise the value of this set.

Thank you for your help!
