The dimensions of the ship are: 175 cm long, 115 cm tall (from bottom of hull) the hull itself is 147cm long, 23cm high and 27cm wide.
The hull of the ship is solid wood wrapped in canvas and painted. There are 4 wooden masts which are also painted and 50 seperate canvas sails. The deck of the ship has realistic features including a wheel which moves the Rutter when turned, life boats with oars and removeable sections to reveal small rooms. The ship also has complex rigging with numerous ropes and pullies connecting the sails together and to the hull. It also has a brass or bronze plaque with the name of the ship on the side 'the city of Liverpool'. It was purchased second hand over fifty years ago and had one owner during that time before we obtained it and any previous owners before that are unknown. I am unable to find any kind of brand markings or signatures indicating who made it or how old it could be. It is in reasonable condition with a few of the ropes broken and the flag missing from the back. I'm interested in knowing anything anyone can tell me about it. How much is it worth? And is it one of a kind or mass produced?
