Class Project (no real object)

Description

I am doing a project for my US History class. We have to get a appraisal of an object from before 1877 to do a project on. I would appreciate if you could treat this like a real appraisal so i can have accurate research.

This is known as a Medieval cuirass and faulds, similar items that are only reproductions go for anywhere from $300 to $2500, depending on the workmanship and detail. If this were a true 1800s piece of armor in good condition I would imagine that it would bring at least 5 to 10 times that amount at the right auction, although I am no expert in this field.
