Cast iron Claw foot tubs like this first appeared at the turn of the 19th Century and went through another revival of popularity in the 1980's and were reproduced in both cast iron and fiberglass. Very few of them, either the originals or the reproductions are well marked, most have simple mold or model numbers. Most that are used sell in the Architectural Salvage market, values for them depend a great deal on their size and condition. Currently they go $250.00- $450.00 at auction
