C.M.Russell 1906 Painting

I puchased this beautiful painting at an auction and while not under the impression that it's an original , I took the painting out of frame and there is no " copyright " stamp which I normally encounter with prints.

Perhaps this is a vintage print before copyright stamping became widely used.

Knowledge would be awesome !!
