I am inquiring about this pot, year, if it is in fact a cocoa pot and value. The lid had a repair other wise in excellent condition. Value in mint condition and value with repair.

Values for these Cocoa pots have had great ups and down in popularity depending on the maker. Unfortunately they have been reproduced in recent years, which has greatly undercut value for originals. The mark on your could be a Japanese Nippon one, but without being able to see it I can't tell. Here's a link to current auctions for comparable pots:
