Description

16th or 17th century Coffer/Candle box, with carved front panel and hasp lock. Internally there is a compartment for storing candles and space for ceremonial robes or clothing. Dimensions 107 cms wide x 43 cms deep x 57 cms high.

Pieces like this really need a physical examination to determine their vintage, as they were widely reproduced during the Victorian Era, particularly in the 1840's.
