The black in the background is not from being in a bar for many years. It called a smoky mirror and it is part of the design. The mirror looks to be in very good condition from what I can see in the photos. You should not be so quick to get rid of this mirror as it is a collectible, and currently retails for $245.00 through online stores that find these mirrors and resell them.
