Hinged lid, although hinge is missing.
Decorative edging at the top of the basin where the handle meets. otherwise, fairly simple piece.
Not sure if we want to sell it at this point, but interesting in approximate value should we decide to.

bottom marked with an upside down crescent shape with the word "Crescent" in it. Under the crescent shape it reads silver, then mfg co, then spns. each having it's own line.

10 1/2 inches bottom to top. Approx. 8 inches from widest point (handle to spout), 4 1/2 - 5 inches wide for the basin itself.

History
We know this was handed down through my husband's family. We know for certian it was his great grandmother's. We do not know if anyone owned it prior to her.
