cup and saucer

By Gubba, 6 June, 2008
Description

This looks handpainted and the picture on each side of the cup is a little different. There is only some light gold wear and I see no chips cracks or crazing. The bottom of the saucer is the same mark but does not have the black it is just indented.

Re: cup and saucer

If my old eyes don't deceive me, the design registry mark on your piece indicates the design was registered in 1875, which means it was made 1875-78 (the mark means the design is patented for three years). The cup & saucer are English, these usually sell for $25.00+.
