Description
I wish i could tell you more about this item but i am at a loss, i receovered it from an old textiles mill which had closed down, the mill was running from 1870's until last couple of years. I don;t know what this item is for, i can tell that the top peice is like a plunger for creating pressure within the container but all these additional things on it have me confused. Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance

As i said earlier, this was found in an old textiles mill, the handle as seen in the picture has started to come away from its original fixing.
