Description

This is quite a unique piece. It looks custom. Based on my research I can tell this is an Antique Victorian Mahogany Dressing Table however it is missing the mirror on top. In addition, the top is made of leather with a triple embroidery stamp. Please help me identify this gorgeous piece and it’s worth.

It actually appears to be rosewood rather than mahogany and date from the third quarter of the 19th century. Tables like this were generally used as console or pier tables, the pier examples with a large matching mirror. Values peaked for pieces like this back in the 1990's and have declined a great deal since then. Currently a comparable might go at auction for $450.00.
