danish retro sofa real?

By joeycentraljersey, 5 September, 2012
Description

This black leather Danish retro sofa has been handed down to me via an relative. It is a smooth, tightly fitted leather sofa with covered arms and wooden legs. There are no markings or identifying labels anywhere I can see on this sofa, no stampings, labels, etc. It is 77" long, 35" wide, 16.5" tall at seat, 21" tall at arms, 31" at tallest back area. It has a low squared tufted style back attached to the frame. Two seating cushions are fitted, plain but are not attached to sofa. The back of the sofa, it's line, does not follow the bottom area but angles forward where it meets the top of arm rest which is covered in leather. There are five wooden tapered legs, three in front, two in back. The three front legs look like they have been reattached but might be on backwards, they jut forward, their rounded metalic feet do not lay flat but are angled up on the front side. Also the stain on these front legs does not go all the way up on the back side, but stop about 1" from their tops? The back legs are stained all the way to the underside of the sofa. Would like to know it's origin, date and it's worth if any?

Thanks
