This Delpheon phonograph is in fairly good condition for its age, the are blemishes and scratches on the wood (oak maybe?) but no large gouges or cracks to be found. The phonograph has its megaphone inside the unit below the turntable and above a drawer that leans open to reveal leather record sleeves to organize your collection. The drawer itself has a keyhole and although the key is missing it appears to be the only accessory gone from this phonograph aside from some screws. (The hinge on the lid is not connected but is complete and sitting in its cradle to the side of the turntable. THIS PHONOGRAPH WORKS GREAT!! After all these years you can crank it a few times and listen to one of the two records that came with it for a looong time. Its really astonishing how good it sounds, almost eerie... The legs have small casters and wheels which are all still attached and working. I think this could be a great restorative piece for some phonograph enthusiast, or could just be more junk that i need to throw out when I move soon i don't know.

History
This item was originally built near my home in the 1920's by a man named Charles J. Bousfield. I believe it is one of the third generation of phonographs that sprung up after the initial patents began expiring at the time. Not much else is known about this item
