This beautiful cedar chest was made by Dillingham Manufacturing company in the 1940's. It is made of cedar and mahogany and possible some cherry wood too. The original key is still in the package attached to the lid. There is a tray that extends above the base of the chest. There is a moth damage guarantee certificate and a purchaser's registration form is included. It is style #62628 and serial number is 061016. There are copper hinges and brass molding on the base of the chest. The bluebirds are still in excellent condition on the inside of the lid. 70% 3/4 inch genuine aromatic red cedar, juniherus virginina which conforms with the latest govenment specifications. All veneers used on exterior are of the finest genuine lAmerican and oriental woods. Bluebird chest is guaranteed by the maker to give complete satisfaction.
