Description

This is a coin bank made by Dinah. The figure is a black female bust wearing a yellow top, silver earrings, and a gold flower necklace. The hand is controlled by a lever the brings the coin into the mouth. It is made of cast iron.

This piece shows signs of a reproduction. I would estimate it is not antique. The detail, painting over the screw, detail in cast etc leave me to believe this. An original circa 1900's piece would be much different then this one. Although its a nice piece it is a repo ... I have had experience in this area and found the pieces that I had were repo as well. Caution must be given on these pieces as there are many that are passed off as Original Antiques.

I would estimate its value at $30 - $ 75 US depending where you market it.  Circa 1950 - 1970
