Description

I have not cleaned this box. It is still dusty and dirty from years of storage on a dirty shed shelf. It has dovetailed joints and hook  fasteners on each side of the lid. The pictures should give you a better description than what I can. I have researched online and found out these boxes are from the 19th century. I found an EXACT identical box like this on Worthpoint but the only difference is instead of saying D.M.Ferry and Co., it reads Ferry and Morse Seed Co. I have learned that Ferry joined with Morse in the 1930's. So this box should date before then.
