I have a bottle of Magola that is probably from the nineteen forties or at least from the nineteen thirties.  My parents sold Peter Fahrney products to the farm people in Mountain View, California. The main product sold was liniment for aches and pains which they ordered by the case load.. Therefore the company had to be in business and at this time period.  Among the ingredients in this product, Magola that was for an upset stomach, was peppermint golden seal, and rhubarb.

My great-grandfather sold Dr. Peter Fahrney's Therapeutics--our of a horse-drawn wagon--in the 1920s & 30s in Stanberry, Mo.  I still have a nearly full bottle of the yellow liquid, which contains various oils:  Sassafras, Camphor and Chloroform.
