OMG...you must go to a specialty antiquarian book auction house. It may be 1st or 2nd edition.....$75,000, if it was signed! http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?an=bram+stoker&y=8&tn=dracula&x=56&sortby=1 There are 4 versions & price varies...can you see the publisher? Must read... http://www.cesnur.org/2003/dracula/I.htm This is the most exciting thing I've seen here, yet. Put it in a safe till you can authenticate it.

Thank you for your're reply about this book. the second page after the title page reads as follows : DRACULA Copyright 1897, in the United Sates of America, according to Act of Congress, by Bram Stoker [All rights reserved.] Printed by GROSSET & DUNLAP PUBLISHERS NEW YORK I hope this information will be a help. I will take more pictures if you need them. Karen McIntosh

Oh, boy...more research reveals there are fakes or rather 30th anniversary editions with that date... you have a lot of research to do, good luck! http://newportvintagebooks.com/help/prices_realized_Dracula.htm http://reviews.ebay.com/Dracula-1897-First-Edition-Book-is-NOT-Grosset-amp-Dunlap_W0QQugidZ10000000003006737 If your really is the Dunlap, it may be a later reprint.

You really need to get yourself an Antiquarian book seller to examine this one, as has been previously pointed out if this is indeed a 1897 first edition it is worth big bucks. If you could show some images of the first pages that list publishing details we would be more able to help you. Lovejoy
