Re: Dresser and headboard

Somebody please help me with the value of this. My mother just passed and we are trying to raise money for her funeral.

Re: Dresser and headboard

I recently sold a 4 piece suite that was similar to yours in date and style. The set, including head/foot board with matching veneered rails, gentlemen's tall chest of drawers, ladies dresser, vanity with stool, and a gentlemen's side chair, sold for $1500. It was in excellent condition and each of the dressers and the vanity had etched mirrors.

I would estimate that the value of your bed and dresser together would be somewhere in the $300-400 range. I am assuming the bed is full sized. The beds are hard to sell as no one seems to want full size these days. My set was priced at $450 per case piece (vanity, 2 dressers),  $50 for the bed and $50 each for the stool and side chair. My dressers were a little more ornate than yours and they each had etched mirrors, including the gentlemen's dresser. These were sold in a mid-scale retail environment (not a consignment or thrift shop) in a suburb of a major city. Your market may or may not bear those prices.
