Dresser with Mirror

By jabenflea, 30 October, 2013
Description

I bought this dresser off an individual.  She said it had been in her family for as long as she can remember.  It is solid wood.  2 long drawers and then 2 small drawers on the side.  It has lighter wood with drawing on it.   I've attempted to research and can only find this style around 1870-75.    All the drawers still work.   I just am trying to pinpoint when it was made and what value it has.

Re: Dresser with Mirror

It's in the style of Victorian pieces made during the 1870's, but revivals of this style were m ade after 1900. I'd need to see some good images of the back of this piece and drawer construction to determine which your's is.

Re: Dresser with Mirror

I'll try to take some more pics.  I can definitely get the drawers.  I haven't moved it since I brought it home but will see what I can do.  Thanks!
