Description A 20 1/2" high mahogonnay or walnut table with drop leaves. Definite Duncan Phyfe design. Center top in the leatherette with embossed border around edges. Drop leaves plain wood. Center top lifts to show silverware. Label on back of silver area "1881 Rogers Silverplate by Oneida, Ltd. Silversmith". Silver plate identified online search of Oneida as Del Mar pattern from the 1970s. Silverware is complete service for eight in excellent condition.

hello.   a friend of mine has one like this so she'll be happy to know it's origin and date, but she knows nothing of the current price.  She took it to antique roadshow a few years ago and they couldn't give her a price either - appraiser at that time said he had never seen it before.   But now we know there's two - there must be more - and more information to come in.   What i know is that the silverware in your chest has no relationship to the age of the chest, and was not the original silverware in this chest.  The style of the hardware would indicate 1880, 1890.
